Random Story: Mark in Europe (Post 1)

Mark Kleinzschachwitz, a smart college student studing at RPI in Troy, NY, was looking down at his laptop, with his headphones on, listening to Tech News Today, an online technology news show. All of a sudden, someone had gotten on the intercom and said "Nachste haltestelle: Dresden". He knew what this meant: that the next stop on the train he was currently on was going to Dresden. This was his stop. But just to make sure, he took out a crumpled paper out of his pocket, which was his intinerary, that told him to get off at the stop called Dresden.

Mark was traveling through Europe on his spring break, which he had always wanted to do. His friend, Riley, had lived in Dresden for a year when we was in 3rd grade. Mark had ever wanted to visit this town after hearing of all of the awesome things he heard from Riley.

He looked at a tram map after getting off of the train. He quickly calculated whick tram to get on, which was the 8 tram going in the direction of Hellerau, a small, quiet part in the northern part of Dresden.

When the tram he was on finally stopped, he got off and walked to his hotel, which was only about a two minute walk. Mark was enjoying Dresden, so far, just as he had expected.

He checked in with the someone named "Raul" at the check-in desk. Mark went up to his room, number 404 to be exact, which was on floor 4. The room was small, but also comfortable. There was a small bed with a night-table standing beside it. A large television was in the front of the bed. There was also a bathroom to the left of the bed. He would be staying in Dresden for 3 days and 2 nights, until he would take another train to Vienna, a town he had always read about.

In the morning, Mark woke up at 7AM, to go downstairs and eat the free breakfast provided by the hotel with his stay. He left the hotel to go exploring around Dresden, visiting the Frauen-Kirche, a famous church which was bombed for no reason in WWII, which was rebuilt only a couple years ago. He also visited many different shops, and rode all different methods of transportation: monorails, trams, trains, buses, and by walking.

At night, he stood and watched the sunset from his hotel room balcony, which had a fantastic view.
