Apple's 2013 WWDC: What I Think

Image
Apple has their WWDC (World Wide Developer's Conference) this week, but they had a keynote on Monday, and introduced a few new products. OSX Mavericks Do you know how the current Mac software is called "OSX Mountain Lion"? Will now they are calling it "OSX Mavericks". That name seems so weird to me. In case you have no idea what Mavericks is, like me, here is the definition from Wikipedia: Mavericks Location     Mavericks is a surfing location in Northern California, USA. It is located approximately 2 miles from shore outside Pillar Point Harbor, just north of the town of Half Moon Bay at the village of Princeton-By-The-Sea. There aren't that many new features in Mavericks, but some new cool features were added like: iBooks-  Do you know the app "iBooks" that you can get on your iOS device? Well, the same thing is now available for Mac. iBooks is basically Apple's e-books store and reader. Maps-  Like the app on your iOS device, the Maps app is...

The Real Difference with the Amazon Kindle Fire and the iPad

So I'm sure you've seen this commercial. I can't stand it. IT DOSEN'T PROVE ANYTHING!! Here is a basic idea of the differences. But no one should ever buy a Kindle just because of this ad.

Back Off Grocery Stores!

I think Hannaford and Price Chopper should just stop distributing food to their own stores. Let me explain why. Last night, at dinner, I was having microwave chopped carrots. They were hard and didn't even taste like carrots. I went up to the counter and looked at the bag of carrots. Price Chopper brand. I should of known. Even if experienced  carrot brands cost 10 cents more than the Price Chopper and Hannaford brand, the experienced brand is most likely fresher and tastes better. So basically what I'm saying is not to look at the price, look at the quality.

Sphero: A Ball Shaped Robot

Image
The gift I loved most this holiday season was a baseball-sized iPhone/iPod/iPad controlled robot called Sphero, which I later named "Steve" as in Steve Jobs There are about 15 apps you can get that interact with Sphero. Most are games that move Sphero around or make him a game controlled for you device. Some features Sphero has include that it can change into lots (I mean a lot) of colors. Another is that it is controlled via Bluetooth, so the range of Sphero is pretty far. From you device, you can control Sphero by dragging the screen, tilt your device, or drag it while video taping Sphero at the same time. The negative about this product is that you have to calibrate Sphero every time you change your controller's direction, but this problem isn't that big of a deal. This has to happen because Sphero, no doubt a Sphere, doesn't have a front like remote controlled cars, etc. do. Sphero also has a whole hour of battery. And when you need to charge, you don't n...

The Best and Worst Songs

Image
We all know there are some bad songs out there, but the worst one is Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars. Who likes a song where the singer keeps going "Ahh" and "Ohhh" and "Locked Out of Heaven"? Seriously! Even the music video quality is the worst I've seen in a music video, EVER! If you don't believe me, here is proof: If you want a great song, I reccomend listening to Girl on Fire (Inferno Version) by Alicia Keys (featuring Nicki Minaj). For me, it gets me pumped up and a little inspiration (While Locked Out of Heaven makes me feel like I'm locked out of heaven, its that bad!): So vote which song you think is better: What song is better?   Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars   Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys featuring Nicki Minaj    poll code free polls

Trying Different Foods

Well, do you know how adults always want us, kids, to try different foods? I'll just say, as a kid myself, that I think that isn't true in most cases. Most of us, if not all of us, have probably at some point gone out to eat at a restaurant. And if you choose off the kids' menu, you most likely notice that all items on the kids menu are the same at all restaurants. This is weird, escpecially since adults want us to try different food choices. I think each restaurant should have their own kids' menu with food that fits their restaurant's personality. For example, a mexican restaurant should have a Mexican kids' menu, not just hot dogs and hamburgers. I guess every restaurant should have one or two american food items, for kids that don't like ranging their food choices. But still, have foods that fit the resturantpersonality. They want us to try, but also, lie.
